Didn't work for me :( August 31, 2010 Veronica Worth a shot, but this product didn't mellow my cat out at all. It got here quickly and was less expensive than the pet stores.
This works! August 19, 2010 Nine Cats Corner I had my doubts...but after 2 months of fairly contented, formerly territorial, cats, I have to say Feliway works. Since I do cat rescue, contented cats are a necessity. Thank you, Feliway!
This Saved My Household and My Sanity! August 8, 2010 Martin A Hogan (San Francisco, CA. (Hercules)) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
The first day I brought my two one-half mix, nine-week old Bengals kittens home, they started having problems. The first two days one of them was pooping anywhere and meowing at a loud volume at all times of the day and night. The other was skittish. This is expected when two kittens leave their mother for the first time, but the pooping was bothersome. I actually thought I might have to return one. A coworker has four cats and one was an older Bengal mix. She said that after a week of the diffuser in the wall socket, the cat calmed down and didn't attack the other cats or complain. I immediately went to a Petsmart and bought the diffuser. After one day - ONE DAY - of being on, the two kittens stopped crying and used the litter box. No more accidents. They also became much friendlier towards me. That's when I went on-line and bought this refill. If this synthetic pheromone can calm down a couple of wild feral Bengal mixes, it can calm any cat. I am not even going to try having them without the Feli-way. This stuff is so worth the money. My kittens are now affectionate and calm. This is a great product. Expect one refill to last about one month.
I think it's working... July 22, 2010 Cat Lover987 (Harrisburg, Pa United States) I think it's working. Our kitty, Otto, is a total stress ball. He freaks out when we move furniture around, or unpack a new box. He hides under the bed all day.
We plugged this Feliway in about 2 weeks ago since we are prepping for a move. The house is full of boxes, furniture is in weird places, and he's been calm and cool. This is very unlike him, so I believe it must be doing something to calm him down. :)
Phew! It really does work! July 19, 2010 TGoble After losing one cat I decided to get another as, Little Joe, was very clingy and lonely after Fred passed away. I brought home a 7/8 month old kitten from the shelter who was very friendly and playful. Little Joe became almost obsessed with the new guy (Junior). He watched and followed him every second of every day AND night and kept making a strange throaty noise with every movement. I was getting upset as I was starting to think getting Junior maybe wasn't the greatest idea. A friend recommended Feliaway as her vet had recommended it. I tried it and after 2 or 3 days all was right with the world. I know it works as he reverts back to his old ways within a few days of the diffuser being empty.
I'm very glad someone discovered/invented this stuff. They should receive some kind of award.
And ordering on line is the best place to order as the larger pet store chains charge a small fortune for one!
