Product Description If your vehicle does not provide a method to connect the audio output ofthe Harman Kardon DP1US Drive + Play to your audio system, then you can use this wired FM adapter for a direct connection to your radio's antenna input. This FM Transmitter Adapter delivers a superior audio connection between the Harman Kardon Drive + Play and your car's stereo system. Unlike other FM adapters, Harman Kardon's DPFMT 1US is uniquely designed to allow a selection of stations on the Drive + Play rather than requiring adjustments behind the car's radio. A must if you have the drive/play March 30, 2010 Vince Gorman (Pittsburgh PA. USA) if you have the drive&play you must get this little adapter it cuts out all interference, it just makes the unit 1000% time better than just using the fm modulator.
Better than wireless October 19, 2009 Shannon Gray It made a huge difference over the wireless configuration I had at first, much better if your going to be traveling
Not for use in metro areas. September 21, 2009 M Scelza (USA) Or in any area that has a Radio Station dominating the airwaves.
I had this trouble before with the wireless FM transmitters. I forgot how domineering the radio stations were in my area. So i had a theory if i directly connected a FM transmitter into my factory radio I would bypass any signal interference. so i bought one that would directly connect into the FM in my factory stereo.
Even at the lowest AM setting, I could not hear anything at all.
I assumed the radio board inside was still picking up the frequencies, even though the antenna was disconnected.
Results were the same, so i concluded that the only way I was gonna be able to do this was to mod the radio
card inside the factory stereo.
I deemed that too much work just to listen to some tunes. It would just be easier to get an aftermarket tape deck and a cassette adapter for my MP3 player. I did this in my old car and my uncles car and was very satisfied with the results.

The Harmon Karman Drive and Play does not work well, even with the wired adapter. Constant static, low volume, etc... and I had mine installed at Circuit City after I purchased it through Amazon. I purchased two, and my husband's had the same problems. We don't use them anymore. A waste of money!
Just what I needed August 18, 2009 Nahum Neme Figaredo (Hayward, CA USA) This is an exelent product, was exactly what I needed for my Drive and Play system
